Shape: A wide blade with bo-hi and so-hi carved on both sides, exhibiting a slightly deep curvature and a wide kissaki. This is a characteristic work of Sue-Seki.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada well-forged with a refined surface, showing faint utsuri.
Hamon: Nioi-deki with nie, forming a rounded gunome-midare. The boshi returns in a small round shape with a deep turn-back.
Features: This is a beautiful combination of a Kanefusa wakizashi with koshirae. The koshirae reflects a dignified appearance, resembling the kind that would be owned by a samurai—elegant yet not overly ornate.
Koshirae Details:
Tsuba: Iron base with flowers carved in relief and adorned with gold inlay.
Kozuka: High-relief carving of a large tree, a sieve, and a sickle, finished with gold inlay.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo base with high-relief carvings of floral motifs and gold inlay.
Saya (Scabbard): Black stone-textured lacquer saya.
Menuki: High-relief carvings of horses, with horse tack in gold inlay.
