Features: Shitahara Ju Yamamoto Genji Terushige is said to have been a swordsmith who worked around the present-day Hachioji area.
Mr. Goto Yasutaka, who was active at the Sword Museum, conducted thorough research on Bushu Shitahara swords.
Although Bushu Shitahara swords were not highly regarded due to their simplicity, detailed studies from the Muromachi period around Daiei revealed highly evaluated works.
The blade carvings on Shitahara swords are particularly noteworthy.
Additionally, contributions to the Fussa City Local History Museum include numerous materials.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This is a highly recommended piece, featuring a well-crafted koshirae and a wakizashi by Shitahara Ju Yamamoto Genji Terushige. The beautiful Yakumo Utsuri and deep curvature make this a particularly outstanding work.
