Jigane:fine Ko-itame hada. Hadame is well visible.
Hamon: Nie-deki Gunomae midare. Boshi is pointed and rounded.
Features: Echizen Sadatsugu was a swordsmith of Echizen Shimosaka school and an apprentice of Yasutsugu. He also inscribed as "Echizen-koku Shimosaka Sadatsugu"

Tsuba: openwork carving of hollyhock leaves. Signature: Echizen Kinai Saku
Fuchi: shakudonanako base with a picture of chickens and cherry blossoms.
Kashira: a picture of cherry blossoms.
Menuki: carving of chrysanthemum and a shell.
Kozuka: iron with carving of a demon.
Kogai: iron with carving of daikon radish.
Aoi Art’s Comment: This is a powerful, stout Wakizashi. The metal fittings with nature motifs are used for the Koshirae, creating a sense of unity. The tsuba was made by the same Echizen metalsmith as the swrodsmith.
