Jigane: The ko-itame hada (small wood grain pattern) is well-forged, resulting in a beautiful surface.
Hamon: A nie-deki pattern with fine, rounded gunome-midare (irregular waves), extending from the base to the shinogi-ji (ridge), with a rounded boshi that returns gently.

Features: This sword, signed by Mita Sukejo Hiroyoshi of Kurayoshi in Hoki Province, is a rare work from the Muromachi period. It is particularly notable for its signature, as most swords from this region are typically signed "Hoki no Kuni Hiroyoshi." The smith worked during the Eiroku era, producing solid and distinctive swords.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: A circular shakudo tsuba in excellent condition.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo with a luxurious high-relief carving of trees, matching the design of the kojiri (buttcap).
Saya: A brown lacquered saya with silver inlays of scattered maple leaves, further decorated with silver carvings of tree motifs.
Menuki: Shakudo with high-relief carvings of trees, accented with gold-colored details.

Aoi Art’s Comment: The hamon features finely rounded gunome-midare, and the sword bears a zokumei (informal name). The koshirae is an exquisite work, with intricate carvings that may not be immediately noticeable but add to the overall grandeur. The matching kojiri and fuchikashira indicate this is a unified set, making the koshirae particularly noteworthy. The blade itself is a finely crafted piece with an informal name inscribed.
