Shape: The blade has a robust width with a forward curvature.
The front side features a carving of Bonji and a stylized Kurikara (Buddhist vajra entwined with a dragon).
The back side has Bonji, twin grooves, and claw engravings.
Jigane (Steel): Well-forged ko-itame hada with a refined and beautiful surface.
Hamon (Temper Line): The hamon is formed in nie-deki with gunome-midare, featuring active ashi (feet).

Features: The smith, known as Iwamoto Seiemon, was a disciple of Nagasunosuke Tsunatoshi.
This blade exhibits excellent sharpness and skilled carving.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Shakudo with plant motifs in gold inlay.
Fuchi-Kashira: Shibuichi with high-relief carvings of sakura petals and folding fans, decorated with gold inlay.
Signature: "應 令兄需 可観堂 求古"
Saya: Black stone texture with bamboo inlay, meticulously detailed.
Menuki: High-relief carvings of horses, detailed with gold inlay.
Kozuka:zFront: Iron base with a bird motif in high relief, decorated in gold and copper.
Back: Shibuichi base with flowers and branches in kata-kiri-bori carving.
Signature: "強?軒友茂".
