Habaki:Single Habaki with family crest.
Blade Length: 17.8 cm (7.0in)
Curvature: Uchizori (slight inward curve)
Mekugi Hole: 1
Width at Base (Motohaba): 1.79cm (0.7in)
Thickness (Kasane): 0.55cm (0.22in)
Sword Weight: 85g

Era: the early to mid-Muromachi period
Shape: slightly small Tanto with little Machiokuri.
Jigane: Itame hada with Masa, Chikei and Utsuri appears.
Hamon: Ko-nie deki suguha with doubled hamon. Boshi is Yakizume. It shows characteristics of Yamato swords.

Features: Tegai school was a swordsmith school from the end of Kamakura period to the Muromachi period. This piece seems to be work from the mid Muromachi period. The jigane and the hamon shows characteristics of Yamato swords well.
