The boshi is a beautifully rounded form.

Shigehira was born in Showa 17 (1942) in Muikamachi, Uonuma District, Niigata Prefecture.
He was a disciple of Miyairi Yukihira, a Living National Treasure.
He has received numerous awards, including Excellence Awards, Encouragement Awards, and Effort Awards.
