Features:Hiroki Hirokuni, a renowned modern master swordsmith from Kanagawa Prefecture, was born in Fukuoka and trained under Sumitani Masamine.
In Heisei 8 (1996), he achieved the prestigious Mukansa status.
He passed away in May 2013 at the age of 65.
Hirokuni's craftsmanship was built on a strong foundation, excelling in the Bizen, Yamato, Yamashiro, and Soshu traditions.
He was a great loss as a Mukansa swordsmith, but his work showcases outstanding hamon.
We are pleased to introduce this remarkable masterpiece, a work of refined elegance and dignity.
