This sword has been slightly shortened with reshaped tang (suriage and kusunoki), but the signature remains fully intact.
Notably, the jigane is exceptionally beautiful.
Recognized as an O-Wazamono and a Saijo Saku smith, he is a highly esteemed swordsmith.
This piece is from the Kakuzuta era, a period known for producing highly regarded works.
The blade exhibits the well-forged Osaka jigane, which is tightly packed and of outstanding quality.
