Explanation: This Katana was made by Hishu Yatsushiro Ju Yoshitsugu in February, 1987 for Mr. Hidaka Michio at the age of 42.

We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku, and Regular Saku.
This sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Hishu Yatsushiro Yoshitsugu.

Shape: wide and thick blade with deep curvature and long kissaki. Boshi is carved on the both sides.
Jigane: fine Ko-itame hada
Hamon: Niedeki Gunome midare with deep nioikuchi and Boshi is midarekomi and pointed.

Features: Yoshitsugu is the swordsmith in Kumamoto and learned sowrdmaking from Minamoto Moriyoshi, the Mukansa swordsmith.
Sunagashi and Kinsuji in this hamon is reminiscent of Kiyomaro. The polishing is also good, and the Jigane is very clear.
