Features: Okubo Kazuhira was born in 1943 in Kanagawa.
He learned from Miyairi Shoei. He became Mukansa swordsmith in 2000. He passed away in 2003. The inscription says, “ fordged with all my soul” indicating that the he worked very hard to forge it as a gift to his son. Perhaps that is why the workmanship is also excellent. The long Kinsuji is especially wonderful.
