Shape: Although this blade has been shortened, it appears to have an original tang.
Jigane (Surface Steel): Small board-like patterns, with tightly packed and excellent surface steel.
Hamon (Temper Line): A straight temper line with prominent nie crystals and active ashi (supporting elements in the hamon), with a deep nioiguchi (cloudy outline of the hamon), and a round turn-back at the tip.
Features:The smith's real name was Hashimonot Shinzaemon, before he succeeded the name of Tadayoshi, he used the smith name of Tadahiro until his father died.
He received the Zuryomei title of Oumi-kami in June, the 2nd of Kansei era, and died at 6th December, 12th of Bunka era.
His style has a lot in common with his father's.
Koshirae (Mountings):
Tsuba (Handguard): A round Shibuichi tsuba with high-relief carvings of dragons and swirling clouds on the rim.
Fuchi-Kashira (Hilt Collar and Pommel): Made of shakudō (an alloy of copper and gold) with nanako (fish roe) texture, featuring carvings of lions and bamboo in gold.
Saya (Scabbard): The scabbard is a black lacquered one with fine vertical grooves, giving it a refined appearance not commonly seen elsewhere.
Menuki (Hilt Ornaments): Features high-relief carvings of lions in gold.
