We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku, and Regular Saku.
This sword is ranked as Jyo Saku for works by Mumei (Chiyozuru).
The blade is polished.
Blade length : 71.2 cm or 28.03 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.97 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.23 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick, has a deep sori and a long kissaki. Oo-suriage. a Bohi and a soehi is carved into the blade.
Jigane : Koitamehada well grained, jinie attached. has a soft feeling.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha, Gunomemidare partly. Boshi is round.

Special Feature : Chiyozuru was named after the childhood name of Kuniyasu who was the founder of Echizen Rai.
The first generation was active at Nanbokucho period.
There is only few works with the signature, such as two generation(parent and son) Kuniyasu, Morishige, Morihiro and others.
There is also Shigekuni and Kuniyuki in the same generation.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Iron Tsuba, a pair of crane is engraved with open work.
Memuki: shooting a bow is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Iron, cherry blossoms are engraved with silver inlay.
Saya: Russet color Ishime-Ji Saya.

From Aoi Art : Chiyoduru's works are popular for marriage and celebration because of the auspicious name.
Daimyo feudal loads gave Chiyozuru's works to their serrvants
as gifts and the servants kept them as heirlooms.
