Shape:A wide blade with a slightly thick kasane, featuring bohi (grooves) on both sides.
The kissaki is slightly extended.
Jigane:Finely packed ko-itame hada, forming a konuka-hada, a characteristic of beautiful Hizen steel.
Hamon:A nioi-based gunome-midare, with a pointed boshi that returns in a rounded manner.
Features:Kawachi no Kami Masahiro was the son of the first-generation Kawachi Daijo Masahiro.
He was born in Kan'ei 4 (1627) and initially signed as Masunaga (正永).
He passed away in Genroku 12 (1699) at the age of 73.
His style includes both suguha and midareba, but all of his works feature a deep nioiguchi.
Among them, his gunome-midare is particularly well-regarded.
This piece features a finely packed ko-itame hada, with a thick ji-nie structure.
The choji-midare and gunome-midare blend together seamlessly, creating a dynamic and active blade.
With kin-suji and sunagashi, it resembles summer clouds floating in the sky.
A vibrant and magnificent piece, highly recommended.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round iron tsuba with four swirling patterns in sukashi-bori (openwork carving).
Fuchikashira: Shakudō with a high-relief motif of nuts and flowers.
Saya (Scabbard): Black glossy lacquered saya.
Menuki: Shakudō with a high-relief floral motif, highlighted with gold inlays.
Kozuka: Shakudō nanako-ji, featuring two family crests in high relief with gold inlays.

Masahiro's works, especially those with deep nioiguchi resembling summer clouds in the sky, are highly coveted by collectors.
This sword fully expresses that charm, with excellent forging and high-level polishing that enhance its beauty.
The koshirae is also finely crafted, making it a highly recommended piece for enthusiasts.
