Saotome Iechika was a renowned armor craftsman from Ibaraki who was active during the late Azuchi-Momoyama period through the early Edo period.
Although 62 plates are common, this piece has 72 plates, which is quite rare.
Additionally, the craftsmanship is remarkable and beautifully executed.
