Hamon: Gunome midare mixed with wavy pattern, with sunagashi and kinsuji. Boshi is yakitsume. There is kitae-ware inside the blade.
Features: Katsuie of Kashu is said to be the founder of the Darani school and known as Saburoemon.
He is believed to be the son of Kunitsugu from the Echizen Chiyozuru school.
The jigane on both sides of the blade show different points of interest.

Jigane: Itame mixed with mokume, showing some kitae-ware and slight rusts.
Hamon: Gunome midare with sunagashi and kinsuji, boshi turns into midare
Features: According to the judgment by the NBTHK, it is a work from the late Muromachi period.
The exact province is not confirmed, but smiths named Norihiro are known from both Yamato and Bizen.
