Features: Shigezane was a swordsmith active during the Kenmu period (1334) in the late Kamakura era and became renowned in the late Muromachi period. His works exhibit well-forged ko-itame hada with utsuri.

Shape: Wide blade, originally a large naginata, with bohi on both sides and bonji carvings. The blade shows characteristics of having been a large naginata.
Jigane: Well-forged koitame-hada, soft and slightly viscous, with visible shirake utsuri.
Hamon: A soft suguha that gently returns in a rounded manner at the tip.
