 Shigetsugu (Ko Aoe) 

Special feature: Bicchu koku Aoe school began in late Heian period Keian era(1171). Shigetsugu was a sword craftsman in middle Kamakura period and famous craftsman called Ko-Aoe such as Moritsugu, Tametsugu, and Tsunetsugu also worked at the time.
Their Hamon is Suguha base, some time has calm Ko-Midare.
Generally, Aoe school signature on the Haki-Ura side of the Nakago.
The Yasurime is O-Suji Chigai. It is different from Ko-Bizen school.

Width at the hamachi : 3.2cm or 1.26 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.2cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 745 grams.
Shape : The blade is Oo suriage mumei. The blade is wide and thick
and long with deep sori, ling kissaki.
Jigane :Koitame hada and Mokume hada well grained
with deep jinie attach. There are minute chikei.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base. There are Uchinoke, Kuichigai-Ba and double Ha. There are many fine Sunagashi and Kinsuji. The Ha is soft.
Boshi is small round shape.
