Mumei(Senjuin)
Special feature: This sword is attributed to the Senjuin school of Yamato province. Senjyuin
is the name of a subsuduary temple of the Todai-ji temple at Nara. There were two schools:
one had its origin in Yukinobu circa Ninhei (1151), consisted of Yukiyoshi, Yoshiyuki, Ariyuki,
Yukimasa, etc. The other had its origin in Shigehiro, circa Nin-an (1166), consisted of Shigenaga,
Shigemura, Yasumura, Shigehisa, etc. The Senjyuin temple was destroyed in 1567
because of Hidehisa Matsunaga's troop set it on fire. As the result the school had disappeared.

Width at the hamachi : 3.09 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.58 cm or 0.22 inches.
The weight of the sword: 740 grams.
Shape : Suriage Katana, wide and thick blade with large Sori.
Jigane : Itame and Mokume Hada well graiend with Jinie attach.
The Jigane is excellent.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Choji Midare with thick Nioikuchi.
Habuchi is soft. In Ha, there are Ashi and Yo, Kinsuji and Sunagashi.
Boshi is round Yakizum style.
