 Ichi (Yoshioka Ichimonji)

Special feature:The blade is suriage and machiokuri,
and on the middle nakago, strong Ichi is engraved which is mentioned
as Ichimonji. The difference of Ichimonji Fukuoka
and Yoshioka is very active hamon or gentle choji midare hamon.
Generally Yoshioka Ichimonji is Sakasa choji midare mixed in choji midare.
Almost Ichimonji engrave ichi(-) on the nakago
and some sword maker engraved the signature under the (Ichi) Sukemitsu,
Suketsugu, Sukeyosi, Sukeshige.
Generally these signatures swords are simple choji midair not active hamon.

Sori : 1.67cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.07cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.73cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 810 grams.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with suitable sori
with longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Koitame had well grained with jinie
attach nice clear texture.
Hamon :Niedeki gunome midare with thick nioikuchi
and soft Habuchi ,sssoft ash.
Bo-shi is snake head shape and turns back.
