Special feature : The first generation Yasutugu was admitted as sword maker of
Tokugawa shogun and oermitted to engrave Tokugawa family's crest on the sword nakago.
So Yasutsugu sword makers from first generation to Late edo period, they engraved
Tokugawa family's Aoi crest on the sword nakago.
They are known as Tokugawa shogun' honored sword makers.
This sword is excellent work and well balanced texture Japanese Tamahagane and holland's iron.
Generally speaking If making just only Holland iron, the Jigane is dark not bright.
But Yasutusugu from 1st to 3rd generations are quite well ballnced iron.
This sword is bright and nice Hamon.
The sword is mentioned on the Token shibata's sword book as Meihin syokai

Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.185 cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.87 cm or 0.34 inches.
Shape : Wide and thick blade. There are Bohi on both side.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Ko-Nie deki and strong Nioi deki. gorgeous Choji Midare.
Soft Habuchi. Deep Nioikuchi. Boshi is Midarekomi style.
