Shape: wide and thick blade with small curveture and slightly long kissaki.

Hizen Koku Ju Mutsu Kami Tadayoshi was a son of Oumi Daijo Tadahiro and 3rd generation of Tadayoshi. He received the title of Mutsu Daijo in 1660 and Mutsu Kami in 1661. He passed away in 1686. He did not have many works because of his short period of swordsmithing, and he often substituted his father's work. His style is similar to that of Tadayoshi 1at generation, and he is especially appreciated for the beauty of the jigane.

Era: the early Edo period, the late 17th century
Shape: the normal sized Wakizashi with slightly deep curveture.
Jigane: Itame hada with Jinie, visible texture
Hamon: Nie base notare and Gunome with Sunagashi. Boshi is rounded and turns back.

Special feature:
Kanewaka was a swordsmith in the Kaga domain, and this work was made by 3rd generation. The Maeda family had many sword smiths in their employ, and Kanewaka was considered one of the best among them. This piece has good jigane with visible Itame with Chikei and good Hamon with sunagashi.
