A magnificent suguha hamon.
Blade length: 1 shaku 5 sun (45.5 cm / 17.91 in).
Dated: Autumn, Showa 35th Year, Kannazuki (October 1960).

Seven-character mei of Hidari Yukihide and the date inscription of Ansei 6th Year.
In the years around Ansei 5–6, somewhat rough and strong sujikai yasuri could occasionally be observed.
The jihada is of fine itame flowing slightly, with thick ji-nie.
The hamon is suguha with deep nioi and bright nie, with a skillfully executed small maru boshi.
This work demonstrates the typical traits of this smith, resembling Inoue Shinkai’s style.
A superb piece.
Blade length: 1 shaku 1 sun 5 bu (34.85 cm / 13.72 in).
Dated: Kōshin Year, Yayoi (March 1884), written posthumously by Kanzan-sensei.
Signed by Miyama (with kaō).

Shape: A broad blade with a robust kasane and a mitsumune configuration.
The curvature is slightly pronounced, and the extended kissaki adds to its elegant shape.
Jigane: Well-forged fine itame hada with a beautiful surface texture.
Hamon:Thickly made with rich nie, featuring a deep nioiguchi resembling the style of Inoue Shinkai.
The boshi has a deep nioi along the edge, finishing with a vibrant and slightly irregular tip.
Features: Toyonaga Kyubei, also known as Touko, was a smith from the Tosa Saimonji school.
He trained in Edo under Shimizu Hisayoshi and returned to Tosa in Koka 3 (1846).
He became the domain’s smith in Ansei 3 (1856) and later moved to Edo in Bunkyu 2 (1862).
He returned to Tosa in the early Meiji era and passed away in Meiji 20 (1887).
