Harima Daijo Fujiwara Tadakuni was a swordsmith in Hizen. The 1st generation Tadakuni was an apprentice of the 1st generation of Tadayoshi. The 2nd generation was a son of the 1st generation, and he engraved a peony familycrest on Nakago.
This sword was authenticated by NBTHK as being the work of the 4th generation.
