Jigane (Steel):Exceptionally well-forged jigane with prominent utsuri.
Hamon (Temper Line):Ko-nie with straight temper line (suguha) featuring small ashi, double temper lines (nijuba), fine sunagashi, and kinsuji activity. The boshi is midare-komi with visible kinsuji.
Features: This sword retains a robust structure despite being over 630 years old. It features carved bo-hi (grooves) on both sides, enhancing its elegance. The blade is flawless (kizu nashi), and the jigane is exceptionally beautiful, showcasing outstanding utsuri.
Koshirae Details:
Tsuba: Circular iron plate from Goshu Hikone. Decorated with gold inlay featuring human figures and pine trees.
Fuchi-Kashira: Shakudo with designs of mantises in gold inlay. Signed “Miku.”
Saya (Scabbard): Glossy black lacquer (kuro roiro).
Menuki: Raised lion design (shishi), possibly made of solid gold.
Habaki: Double-layered; copper base wrapped with gold.

This piece is a heavy and well-crafted work, typical of Tegai Kanetoshi. The koshirae is in excellent condition and will become an even more attractive ensemble with new tsukaito (handle wrap). Highly recommended for its exceptional craftsmanship and artistic value.
