This sword is ranked as Jyo Saku among works by Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi (3rd Generation, Osaka).

Era: Around the Kanbun era (Edo period)
Shape: little thin wakizashi.
Hamon: Sudare-na, with rounded Yaki at Kissaki.

Features: Tanba-Kami Yoshimichi the 1st generation was based in Osaka and Kyoto, but from the second generation onward they were separated and called Osaka Tanba and Kyoto Tanba, respectively. Kyo-Tanba carved a chrysanthemum familycrest on the nakago, but Osaka Tanba did not.
The rounded Yaki at Kissaki is a characteristic of Osaka Tanba the 3rd generation. I believe this sword was made by 3rd generation of Osaka Tanba, and we do not evaluate the inscription as authentic because Osaka Tanba did not put a chrysanthemum crest on the Nakago.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: iron Nanban-tsuba with a picture of clouds.
Menuki: carving of a spider.
Kozuka: Shakudo base with a high-relief carving of persons.

Aoi Art’s Comment:
Although there are doubts about the authenticity of the inscription, the sword itself is a genuine work of Tanba Kami Yoshimichi and is well made. The polishing is also in good condition. Re-winding of Tsuka is available for 25,000 yen. Color can be selected.
