Sayagaki: "Bizen Kuni Osafune Shigezane O-suriage Mumei. Jidai: Karyaku. Excellent workmanship. Nagasa: 2 shaku 2 sun 6 bu (67.6 cm). Written by Hon'ami Nichishu, a Living National Treasure in Showa 62."

Shape: O-suriage Mumei with a slightly wide body, deep curvature, and slightly extended tip.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with utsuri, forming an excellent jigane.
Shinogiji: Fine itame and masame hada are clearly visible.
Hamon: Soft nioiguchi with a pattern of small gunome midare, transitioning into a ko-maru shape at the boshi.

Features: Shigezane was a swordsmith active during the Kenmu period (1334) in the late Kamakura era and became renowned in the late Muromachi period. His works exhibit well-forged ko-itame hada with utsuri.
