Special feature: The Aoe school is broadly divided into Ko-Aoe, Chu-Aoe, and Sue-Aoe.
This work belongs to Chu-Aoe, being a calm piece considered from the late Kamakura period.
The tightly forged jigane shows unique quality and distinctive utsuri.
The hamon is suguha with well-working small ashi and softly active ha.
The boshi is notare and returns in komaru, forming a calm hamon.
